The second floor of the Pensacola Historical Museum houses our permanent galleries: Army Navy Gallery, Maritime Gallery, Multicultural Gallery, Native American Gallery, and the Military Gallery. These exhibits were designed by a local professional exhibit design company in 2000. The Galleries explore Pensacola's varied history through pictures, text and artifacts.
The Save Our History project by St. Michael's Interprarochial School has arrived! The interactive touch screen kiosk detailing Fort George is now on the second floor of the Pensacola Historical Museum. According to the press release, the interactive kiosk was the result of the combined efforts of the 6th and 7th grade classes. This kiosk is an educational tool for visitors to learn about not only Fort George, but also the people and events associated with the Siege of Pensacola. Special features of the kiosk include the history of Fort George as well as animation of 18th century maps. St. Michael's was one of only 27 schools chosen nationwide for the Save Our History grant, which is a program of the History Channel.
