Donated by Tommy and Barbara Stearns of Pensacola in May 2008. Tommy began working with Borden's Dairy in the late 1960's. When the company was sold, the life size Elsie was stored away. Years later, a worst fate awaited Elsie. She was headed to the trash heap until Mr. Stearns rescued her. Elsie has lived the last few years in a shed at the Stearns' residence. They donated her to the Society along with several Borden's uniform shirts, postcard with Elsie and her son Beauregard, Borden's beltbuckle,Elsie Reunion placemats, and photographs.
Elsie and her son Beauregard Postcard, states: Elsie the Famous Borden Cow and her son Beauregard travel the U S A in her famous Cowdillac greeting her friends in a tastefully furnished barn colonial boudoir. Remember--If It's Borden--It's Got to be Good!
