Jacki Wilson, Curator of Research and Collections, Rental Manager , email collections@pensacolahistory.org; 850.434.5455
A life-long resident of the Pensacola area, history is a second career for Jacki. After a thirty-year career working for general surgeons, she returned to school and graduated with a BFA in fine art. Her love of preserving disappearing textile art forms led her to the Public History program at UWF and she is currently writing her thesis for her master’s degree in history.
When asked about her career choice, she tells everyone she chose history because she hates to see knowledge lost. Whenever she is asked what PHS does, she replies “we preserve Pensacola’s history.” Ms. Wilson is also the Rental Coordinator of The Beacon Room.

I am a native Floridian born and raised in Central Florida. However, for the past fifty years I have proudly called Pensacola my home. I enjoy the love of a wonderful family, specifically, three sons, their wives, and numerous grandchildren. Last but not least, I am owned by one sweet kitty that allows me to live with her.
When I joined the Pensacola Historical Society Staff two years ago, I had no idea that I would be joining such a great team of directors, volunteers, membership, and staff. I has been such a pleasure working with them in furthering our standing in the community as well as our vision to be the primary historical research and education organization in Northwest Florida. Visitors are always welcome to our offices on the 2nd floor of the Norman Simons Building at 110 East Church Street, and we hope that what you find will entice you to join our organization.
